Most of you will know that I’ve been looking at a Walther LG400 for a long time, ever since Sven converted a 6ft version back in 2014. I actually had hold of one at the Wales Doubler Header and while it was way too heavy with the steel air cylinder, I did like the feel. I’ve also been following what Wrecker is doing with his and add to that, one of the countries best tuners is also thinking about looking at converting the 6ft version, everything was looking good.
That is until I bumped into this video, I’ve seen Crowder before, he’s a right wing debater that likes to troll people for a living, OK so I don’t agree with his politics, fair enough but what does this have to do with Walther?
Well, Walther sponsors his show and in his show, he regularly wears a t-shirt that states Socialist Are Fags, now if that isn’t homophobic I don’t know what is, how can a large multi-nation company support such a view? The gun lobby perhaps? Appealing the NRA audience?
It doesn’t stop there either. Crowder has been investigated for multiple racist and homophobic videos in which he targets Carlos Maza. He’s also doxxed Maza and encouraged his fans to harass him, which end up with Maza receiving death threats.
To me this is unacceptable but on social media profits are often put before doing the right thing because the platforms need those extreme views to drive traffic, polemic’s and kittens are where its at and they certainly turn a blind eye to a lot of it, I know this because I know someone who works at Facebook and for years they gave fascist organisations a free pass because they were told to.
